What can you bring to the table if you are going to be stepping into a relationship??? I am not talking about money either.
When I ask what YOU can bring to the table I hope it really got you thinking because everyone should think about it.
Things to bring to the table:
Conversation- Talking with one another as friends
Friendship- They should be your best friend
Companionship- Being there physically and mentally
Honesty- It takes 100% truthfulness to work
Loyalty- Being their one and only
Love- Not just the feeling, but find ways to show love so they get the love and happy feeling.
Friendship- A bond that needs to be built
Support- Being there for one another and cheering them on and building them up as they work to accomplish something. Even if it is something small and simple. Celebrate the little things together. If you or them need to vent be there to listen. Not just like a physical statue on autopilot who lets it go in one ear and out the other, but mentally too so you can offer advice as well.
Gentle Tones- No one should be raising voices unless there is a fire. A stern voice can be done without yelling.
Helpfulness- If they ask for help be there. As soon as you can too. The longer you make them wait the lower on their priority list they feel. No one should feel low on a priority list either. When one does depression can kick in and then things can start to go down hill.
Willingness to communicate- Anybody who is not willing to communicate is not willing to put in the work it takes to have a successful relationship with somebody.
Compromise- It should NEVER be your way or the highway or their way or the highway. There should ALWAYS be the ability to rationally discuss things with your partner, draw a conclusion, and one part make the compromise if not both in making small compromises in order to make it work .
