Maybe you realized it was low so you refilled it or grabbed them a new drink. Maybe you realized they were done eating and asked if they wanted more food to eat or if you could take their plate to wash and put away. They don't attempt to capture all of your attention because at their core, they could not be happier with every moment of your time they've already got.
